Gonna post about nursing here. I have just over a year of hospital experience, 3 months of a misfire in critical care, 1 month misfit in med/surg, and one full year in Infectious disease med/surg. I've been away from the profession for two years (It'll be two years next month).
I'm currently interviewing and applying. I had an interview for an ortho floor at a hospital I'd really like to get into. The interview was eleven days ago. I sent a thank you email and re-answered one of their questions better. The manager, who seemed to like me only said great answer and that HR is behind on getting back to people. Her response was on Wednesday. I'd hoped I'd hear from them by Friday. I didn't. Now I continue to wait.
I've been avoiding filling out more applications because I'm betting on this job. The smart thing to do would be to continue filling out apps, but this one seems so right, plus I've batted a thousand in every nurse interview before this. This may be my first strike out or second home run, we'll see.
