With all the AMD cards being sold out I thought I'd give Nvidia a try after reading $200 A Day Mining Ethereum or ETC? by .
I don't have much experience with Nvidia GPU's as I've always bought AMD. I headed over to Amazon to do a little research. I ended up with an EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC for about $210. It seemed like the best card for the price and hash rate. I had looked at an MSI 1060 but one review by an ETH miner said that the card's fan speed was significantly higher than his EVGA 1060's.
It looks a little funny sandwiched in between the two ASUS R7 370's.
I'm currently running two R7 370's, 1 R9 380, and 1060 with a 750-watt power supply.
Currently, it is using 642.12w at default settings. Speed isn't too bad on NiceHash. I use NiceHash when I'm in between mining equihash and ethash and configuring. Or just can't decide what to mine.
I'm probably going to add my old 500w PSU after I get it cleaned up. It seems stable at around 640 but I would rather be safe than sorry. Plus I'd like to do some tweaking to see what kind of speeds I can get out of it.
