We're in the middle of quite a big storm today!
There's a code red now with the next couple of hours being the worst. Trains have stopped riding alltogether and according to the Dutch news website, there have been winds of up to 138 km/u. Even all planes are grounded for now. They are warning everyone to stay off the roads, especially trucks, since many have already blown over. There have already been roofs that have flown off in other places in the country and extra safety measures are being taken close to us to prevent water from rising too high. They are also warning everyone to stay out of greenhouses, due to high chance of shattered glass.
There are plenty of greenhouses in this area and I have to say, I can understand the warning. It's getting pretty scary in here I have to say. The wooden rack we have standing outside of the cabin is shaking fiercely right now and I just hope it will not topple over, because that might just shatter one of our windows.
I have moved from my usual spot on the couch to the chair on the other side of the livingroom, so atleast I'll be further away from any potential damage the storm causes. My boyfriend tells me the cabin will be fine. It has handled more storms than just this one, but it is one of the biggest in a long time I think.
I might move over to my boyfriend's dad's house if things keep being this scary, but honestly, I'd rather not walk outside right now... I think I'll go there though, so no network anymore.
Stay safe!
