It's been a while since I've last had a chance to post! We are in the process of having to move home, so the last few weeks have been all about doing house searches and viewings, and trying to find a place to move to by late Oct. It was also my husband's and my birthday over the last week (ours are 6 days apart), so life has been full, and it has been well! The next few weeks will be full on, so I doubt that I'll be able to post much or at all. So I wanted to do a quick check-in and to share some good news!
I don't usually feel comfortable organizing birthday plans for myself (but always happy to do it for others), so I decided to change that this year, in hopes of setting a better example for my children on valuing and celebrating oneself as well. It was really nice 😊
This last week has been an amazing week of celebrating our birthdays, and celebrating finally finding, and also very efficiently securing a property, and all the more to celebrate is that the new place we've found is an absolute dream house, and we never expected to find anything like this. It was definitely an amazing manifestation!
You can imagine why we are so excited that from next month, this will be our new garden 😁
The whole journey of us needing to move has been quite a rollercoaster ride, as just to show how varied our options were, we were at one point even considering buying a touring caravan and going travelling around the UK, instead of just renting another place in our general area. As exciting as it was, it was also really hard for me to plan ahead, as for a while, we truly didn't know where we'd be in November.
So I'm very, very glad to finally get to this stage where we know where we're moving to, so we can finally start preparing for the move, which won't be an easy task (thanks to 2 kids and a double garage full of old family stuff and our choices to keep/not keep them!).
This week, I also got to see two very special old friends, one of them was a close friend whom I lost touch with for over 10 years, so it truly was a special reunion. I got to introduce both of them (both have so much value to give) to Steemit and really hope they'll click with Steemit as I have.
This week, I was able to spend an abundance of time with my little ones, my husband (we even had a rare night alone without the kids, thanks to an awesome friend having them sleep over 😀), my mom (we may not agree on everything in life, but I'm happy to have an honest and loving relationship with her), and many beloved friends and their amazing children (whom I have the pleasure of seeing regularly because of home educating activities).
Some of my favourite moments this week:
Went to Bristol Zoo for some family fun, this was at the aquarium 🙂
Very glad for my daughter, that she is finally tall/old enough to go on a high ropes adventure. This was in Bristol Zoo, and it was a little birthday treat for my husband to go on it with her 🙂
My youngest fascinated and enjoying feeding the beautiful swans near Windsor Castle 🙂
One of our favourite Home educating activities this week - Stream(Forest) School in Hampton
Hope you all had a great week too! And thank you for reading and joining me in sharing some joyous moments from this week! Feel free to connect with me, as I do try to comment a lot more than I can post!
Much Love from RedRica <3
