I've been posting every day since the beginning of January which was a challenge I silently decided to participate in as I was really struggling to be active and consistent on the platform. I'm ecstatic to report that I still haven't fallen off the wagon despite the fact that I find it quite difficult as I'm trying my best not to post too much nonsense.
The two weeks so far have been quite tiring, but I'm happy with what I've done with my time on the steem blockchain so far so I decided to take a little look back. I recently stumbled upon a very nice little tool by that creates a word cloud for your most used words in your latest posts, so here's mine:
Despite the fact that having to do a post every day is a bit grueling, I am relatively satisfied with my output.
The Contest/Challenge I started last week got a much stronger response than what I expected and quickly became the first post of mine to get over 100 upvotes and over 100 comments. Of course, this is a bit of an artificial feat as both of those were part of the requirements for eligibility for the SBD prizes. Going through the entries took a lot of my time this week as there was not just one post per participant to check out, but 6 (1 #my2017top5 post + 5 old posts mentioned there). Still, all the posts were a pleasure to go through as people had really put effort into choosing their best work from 2017. Picking the winner is going to be the biggest challenge of all. If you haven't participated yet, you still have a bit of time to do so an make my choice even more difficult.
Additionally, those two weeks gave me the chance to create some things to hopefully benefit the community - like a bunch of steemSTEM animated signature gifs and a Steem Stats Animated Video Infographic that came sixth in 's Infographic Contest - check out the other winners and honorable mentions, their work is great! I'm also happy to say that I had my first post that got some really long and insightful comments that I appreciated a lot on a bit of a legal/ethical/political hypothetical.
I really appreciate everybody who has supported me in any way so far!
The 30 Days January Challenge I'm participating in was initiated by and I recommend anybody struggling with consistency to try one of those (it shouldn't matter what day you start on). Another option you might enjoy in the post-every-day category is
's Alphabet Art Challenge which wasn't my cup of tea simply because of the art part.
