Last night I had the opportunity to go to a Doyle show. For those of you who don't know, he is one of the founding members of the band The Misfits. I have been a fan of The Misfits for over a decade now and I have had the opportunity to see them live many times, but never while Doyle was a participating member of the group (the band's history is convoluted, so depending on when you saw them, you would see a variation of original members and new characters). Naturally, when I learned that Doyle would be performing in my area, I jumped at the chance. Along with really wanting to see him do his thing live, I also have this leather, studded jacket that my wife created for me almost eleven years ago. Throughout the years, I have managed to get signatures from two of the original members, Robo (drummer) and Jerry Only (bassist).
Last night I was given the opportunity to add Doyle to the jacket! He was very nice and personable, and if I can look like him in my fifties then I am doing something right!
Anyways, just had to share the moment. Just one more to go! The original vocalist Danzig is going to be the biggest challenge yet, hopefully I can get him to sign it before one of us dies!
Here's to the Fiend Club!
All pics are taken by myself or my wife the night of the show.
