With how cold it is this winter and the outragous cost of electric and gas here in the UK, We've been managing to keep the house here at around 14-15 degrees celsius.
A consiquence of that is condensation on the windows.. We neglected to keep an eye on this for quite a while and as a rusult a great deal of black mould was appearing.
Which brings me todays job, I mixed up 25% bleach, 25% distilled vinigar and 50% water solution, took a nail brush and a cloth and got to work scrubbing up any mould around the windows and frames.
Bleach is just about the only thing that'll deal with mould honestly.. even so called 'mould' killing products often don't last of long. but a strong bleach solution will deal with most things.
The worst spots were the kitchen window and windows sill and my attic room window. Those where crazy mouldy.
But it's all cleaned up now and shouldn't come back any time soon, We're using a karcher window vac to suck up the condensation each morning which is working out really well.
I did end up nuking my nose though, Everything still smells like clourine and bleach, my nose stings a bit, at one point it started iritating my lungs but eh was pretty much finished at that point and I feel fine now so all is good.
Probably should wear protection... but why start now when I've never done so the other 500 times I've use bleach.. or other chemicals etc. lol.
So anyways that's pretty much been my day, lots of cleaning and all that, Now I'm going to sit at my computer and chill until my stream later today. :)
