He has gone from leading a cricket team to world cup glory to having to lead a country out of corruption and poverty.
Imran Khan is finally on the verge of power after years of battling the corrupt political establishment.
What does this mean for Pakistan and the World?
Everyone that has voted for him will be expecting a swift turn around. They will expect overnight reform end of corruption, poverty, improvement in job opportunities and for him to turn Pakistan into an Utopia.
The world will be expecting him to stabilise the country and get rid of terrorism.
So he has an easy job he should be able to get that all done by next week and put his feet up
What will actually happen?(my opinion)
Honestly not alot. Of course he will try but its not easy trying to re programme the way a nation has been run for over 70 years. It has been rife with corruption from the beginning as is every other nation just because they do not make a song and dance about it like they do in Pakistan does not mean it doesn't exist. look at the Trump campaign and the Brexit vote. Only difference is in western countries they are a little more discrete in Pakistan and India you just see the politician running down the road in broad day light.
The world should not be expecting much as he has already stated his feeling towards the Indians and there treatment of Muslims in Kashmir and also towards the U.S and the sacrifices the Pakistani people have made in a proxy war which had nothing to do with Pakistan was to do with Afghanistan. Well over 50,000 Pakistanis have died which is the most out of the allied countries since this war began
If Imran Khan manages to improve the country by 10% it will be a massive improvement and a step in the right direction, he needs to improve the country first then improve relations on a global stage. The world should be hoping he succeeds as Pakistan is one of the leading Nuclear powers in the world and stability is a must for the world
