I woke up today by myself around 09.30 AM feeling incredibly refreshed. The last year I have had a really bad sleeping rhythm where I sometimes would not sleep for days, and other times I would sleep more then 18 hours...
When I arrived at the apartment yesterday it was dark already. Because of this I was unable to get a glimpse of how the surrounding area to the apartment looked until this morning. I have a view of both forest and the fjord from the windows. This was one of the first views I had this morning:
Like almost every single day lately my focus is on improving my current situation. Today I got the place where I took my MRI-scan to send my CV to the hospital that will operate on my back in January. I also got a meeting scheduled with NAV about my welfare support the 19th of December. This is the day before I have to move out of the place I'm currently staying at so hopefully I at least get some financial support before Christmas so I can survive decently trough this holiday season.
I'm still looking for a new place to stay from the 20th of December. It will probably take me atleast one to two months from when NAV grants me my welfare support, until I'm able to aquire myself a place to live. This is mainly because of low payouts and no support for monetary rental deposits in their system. NAV only give out what they call a NAV-guarantee but in practice almost no one seems to accept those as a deposit for rent. Because of this I will have to save up from my montly welfare payouts to be able to lay down the deposit for a place to live.
The apartment I'm staying in is without any Internet or other forms of entertainment like TV/Games etc. For the moment all my communication needs are going trough the local 4g network. I guess this can be a good thing as well, as I will have less distractions around to stop me from working on improving my personal situation.
To make myself happy I was out shopping everything needed to make one of my favorite types of vegetarian wraps for dinner today. Now I'm only missing something nice to smoke!
