About your post, using Wordpress with Steempress and steem2wls is esxactly what we would recommend bloggers! As an alternative to Steempress, having a blog directly on Steem with Hive account@engrave and soon with Hive account@travelfeed (travel blogs) is possible.
For your friend, Hive account@dsound might be an option to post music in combination with blog posts in addition/as an alternative to Soundcloud.
