I watched DDLJ again on the weekend, and believe me the dialogues felt so cliched.
1. The protagonist family being afraid of their father and changing music on his return - This is clearly a domestic abuse and should not have been portrayed as a good or expected behavior of kids.
2. Protagonist crying inconsolably on discovering that she had slept with the boy (though in next 2 minutes it shown it was just a prank) - Girl dialogues like you have spoiled my life, and taking on all the guilt herself sets all the wrong assumptions for girls.
3. The boys drinking alcohol, shows them as a spoiled bunch.
4. The protagonist expected to serve for her husband and no ideas about her education and career, in-spite of being studied in London.
5. The protagonist mother is shown as a typical Indian woman abroad with no friends , no job and being in servitude of her husband.
