A suicide bomber exploded at a Shiite mosque in Herat City, western Afghanistan.
Quoted by Reuters on Wednesday (2/8), hospital authorities in Herat said all the dead and wounded were worshiping at the mosque when a suicide bomber blew himself up.
At least 29 people were killed and feared to increase as some are in critical condition after a suicide bomb blast at a Shiite mosque in Afghanistan.
The suicide bombings came as the mosque was crowded by Shiite pilgrims in Herat province, western Afghanistan, officials and witnesses said.
The suicide bomber explosion occurred on Tuesday (1/8/2017) night.
At Herat Center Hospital, doctor Shehrzai confirmed, 29 bodies were taken to a medical facility immediately after the explosion. An official said, 50 people were killed.
