Friends are a big part of our lives. My childhood friends were all my world throughout my childhood and adolescence. Together we went out, laughed, spent, grew and grew up to be who we are today.
I dedicate this criticism to all my friends wherever they may be! Thanks for the brave and sincere friendship!
The four men - Henry, Kip, Ronnie, and me - grew up in the rural areas of Wisconsin. At the beginning of their adult lives, each of them went his own way; Henry became a famous rock star and won fame and heartbreak many times, Henry remained to live and work on the family farm and married his first love of his heart, Kip invested and earned millions on the Chicago Stock Exchange and Ronnie became an accidently and mentally injured rodeo star .
On the occasion of Kip's wedding, the four men reunite and meet in their hometown. Each of the four hopes to find solace in the bosom of his friends, but soon it turns out that the clock can not be reversed. Under the joy and excitement of reunion there are old tensions and rivalries, and one big secret that could destroy and break true friendships that seem to have been written in blood .
The plot jumps between past and present when each chapter is told by another. Each of the characters thinks that the grass of the other is greener, but it turns out that everything is ostensible. Each of the characters represents a different section of the population from a wide variety of types. Through the four you can see that our happiness does not depend on wealth or glory.
The novel "Love at gunpoint" is exciting and thought-provoking about things (in my opinion) that are truly important - love and loyalty, friendship and belonging. The story of the novel permeates the hearts of its readers and raises many questions; When a person leaves his home and establishes a new life, does he really disconnect from his past? Or would the world ever be tied to the umbilical cord? What does a person make or lose when he spreads his wings and leaves the nest toward the great world?
An exciting story about loyalty, friendship, belonging and love.
highly recommend!
