The banter! The plot twists! The savagery! The sex!
Yep, that's the kind of book we're discussing today. This one was a super fun read!
Sleeping With Shadows by Rachel Hailey is spicy from beginning to end. Darkly delicious, the characters are fierce as only fae can be.
There are some extraordinary characters, with the kind of depth I look for in a novel, made all the more enjoyable by their magical and sometimes murderous natures.
We’re talking faerie wars, so if you don’t like violence, bow out of this one. Same goes for hot sex scenes and profanity.
But that’s right up my alley.
If you do enjoy high-heat sex paired with fight scenes that don’t quit, pick up this book!
The only thing that nagged at me were the few places I wished the editing was more thorough as I was reading, but—for real—the banter alone made up for it.
I laughed out loud A LOT. The snark between the characters is priceless. This story overflows with quick-witted conversation and quite a few well-placed f-bombs that had me cracking up and rooting for our dark heroes.
This ensemble cast is comprised of love-hate relationships and plenty of tension that make for an truly entertaining journey.
I finished Sleeping with Shadows in a couple of days, and recommend it to lovers of dark fantasy with high-heat romance and snarky banter.
