I am an avid reader and have read lots of nonfiction. Following is the list of ideas learnt from those books.

We all wanted to get people interested in us. But rarely it happens. Dale Carnegie in these book says that the best way to get people interested in you is by getting completely interested in them , such importance will make them feel special and they will get more interested in you.
3.drop the pink elephant.
In these book the author depicted words like not, no, don't as pink elephants. Author believes that such words in sentence always convey wrong information. For example you say don't look at the table, the person will directly look at the table.

5.how I raised myself from failure to success.
The major reason why people are uninterested in your conversation is because you yourself are less enthusiastic when you yourself become enthusiastic in your talk people itself will become more interested in talk. So get enthusiastic whenever you say something.
