Er, make that baby tapir books make great christmas gifts. Specifically, my baby tapir books:
Amirah: The Life of a Baby Tapir was my second photo-book and my first in print-on-demand paperback. It features 300 of the best photos of Amirah, a baby Malayan tapir, as I followed her through the first year of her life in 2013-14.
Ketawa: The Life of a Baby Tapir is the sequel which follows Amirah's brother, Ketawa, during the last half of 2015. Where Amirah goes a full year and features more of her growth cycle, Ketawa's book is focused more on the cutest moments of his early life.
These books are primarily photographs, with minimal text, so they make great gifts for little kids who love cute baby animals. There's enough variation in behavior in the books that you can get a real sense for the tapirs' personalities even without explanatory text, and if you have both books you can compare them and see where they do things the same and where they do them differently.
Both of them liked to climb on their mom. This one is Amirah.
