hey there steemians! Here is the "other" side of me...............
a traveler and adventurer......
Hope you enjoy my post..
Boracay is a small island that can be found in the province of Aklan. It has white sand beaches which made it famous and being one of the world’s top destinations for relaxation.
When you are coming from Manila, you need to book a flight going to caticlan or kalibo airport, there is a difference between the two airports. From kalibo airport, according to some travellers who happens to go there through this airport, you need to travel by vans/car for about 1.5 to 2hrs and about 15minutes by ferry/boat going to boracay island, while if from caticlan you only need to ride a tricycle and a “ferry” for about 15-20mins. I chosed Caticlan “way” during my two visits in Boracay.
I have visited Boracay island twice, my first time is vacation with my friends and that was October 2013 while the second is with my husband and it is only February this year (2017), when I celebrated my birthday…. I mentioned the dates of my visits since it has a significance pertaining to the differences/development I’ve observed between my two visits and this will be shared to you all
Pictures below shows the differences:
“The Famous Grotto” Place
The “PUKA Beach” (this is one of the island included on your Island Hopping activity)
The difference? In 2013 there is NO vendors in that beach compared now (2017) wherein you can see a lot of Nipa huts stores selling difference foods and drinks…
The Seashore
If you would noticed, the water is greenish in color during my visit this year compared to my visit last 2013. According to the locals of Boracay, these are the “Algae/moss” that makes the sand in the island whiter. In additional, this only comes every January and will be gone until the month of April or up to June. This is also the locals indication that “summer” is approaching…
But this “greenish” things never been a reason for me not to enjoy this very beautiful place. We have arranged different activities packages from local tourguides such as Island hopping, ATV and Parasailing... And to prove this statement, here's my picture together with my husband where you can see the enjoyment we’ve experienced from other activities we did on our stay there:
