In today's time, people can't live without an electricity. Most of the activities especially the millennials who are indulged with gadgets. Spending their time in social media, making friends and playing games online and actually, they were not physically fit since they don't keep their body moving, they are just sitting or lying in their comfortable sofas or bed.
Years ago, people enjoy much of their time even there is no electricity because children play outside and keep sweating. Elders are enjoyed watching their kids screaming outside while playing, enjoying the backyard activities since the presence of the children gives an additional meaning to it.
THINGS I USUALLY DO WHEN THERE IS BLACKOUT
GOING OUT. I prefer going out either with my family or friends or with my special someone. We go out to attend a mass in the church since every day there is a mass here in the local and after, stroll around the mall -- windows shopping or go for a food trip or beach. It is the only time I can spend much time with them since I am an online freelancer and most of the time I am in front of my workstation since there is no power, I will get the opportunity to spend it precious, carpe diem.
TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS. Honestly, I am not a professional photographer or have the skill of taking photographs but I just love it and I enjoy it a lot. I do know basic photoshop just to enhance every photograph but I am too lazy doing it. In every photo I take, I know there is something in that photo why I like to capture it. because every picture tells a story...
READ BOOKS OR MAGAZINES. Since the day that I make the book sale as part of my hangout places, I do collect magazines since I bought it at its cheapest price usually it ranges to PHP 10 to PHP 100 and not just magazines but also books that I do have in my shelves. I don't actually buy fiction books that cost much higher on the range that I mentioned above. Along with this, I do have my set of coloring books that I used to bond with my daughter. Not all the books I have I bought it but some of it send as gifts and souvenirs.
COOKING. Cooking is everyday activity but when blackout, I can spend more time bonding with my mother who used to love cooking either for meals or just for merienda. Honestly, I don't know to cook that's why it is a cooking session when there is no power. I do love to eat but not to cook. And of course, FOOD TRIP after the cooking session.
SLEEPING. I always fell in love with sleeping. Since my time is not fixed when it comes to my working schedule, I often sleep late or too early, I do not have a fixed body clock. So when I have a chance to sleep long, I will have it but when you got a daughter to look over, gosh... you will always miss your sleeping time. This is the most important activity but since I am a single mother, I should always make sure my daughter's need and to give her what's best for her so I should never be tired of working and get every sideline I should have. PROUD SINGLE MOTHER HERE.
How about you? How do you spend your day when there is no electricity?
P.S.
