This weekend I traveled to the east of Scotland to hike the most easterly Scottish Munro. The driving route there was treacherous and difficult the GPS got lost many times, we were traversing endless single track lanes and ridge from Angus Coupar to Braemar made me sick... Literally. After 4 hours of driving, I finally arrived at the car park of Mount Keen and could start hiking it. Ok jokes are finished for now:).
The hike started easily with clear track wider than the roads I was driving a minute ago.
The route had a nice easy ascent.
With some fords to cross.
The weather is looking great and some people are already going off the mountain.
After reaching the plateau the wind is getting very strong.
It was a very easy climb It must be one of the easiest Munroes in Scotland. However, the wind must be at least 55 km per hour.
I must admit that for some strange reason I feeling very well I have very painful tummy cramps. It may have something to do with the horrendous drive that made me car sick all the way here. I am glad made it all the way to the top. Let's go down now.
There is Queens well at the foot of the hill.
Nearly back at the car.
Bye bye Mount Keen.
Thank you for reading my blog.
