A picture we took while visiting White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. This was an unexpected stop and something we did not even know was in the area until we saw signs for it.

What I thought would just be an unimpressive view of sand dunes turned into a breath taking sunset. Just before the sun fell behind the mountains, the whole landscape began to glow as the fleeting sun light danced off of each grain of sand.

Remember, just because there isn't much to see doesn't mean there isn't beauty to be found.
