JUST IN: Conor McGregor has weighed in at 153 pounds for his superfight against Floyd Mayweather, who weighed in at 149.5 pounds. Okay, but Whaaaatttt???
Well, it is what it is. The UFC superstar has weighed 3.5 pounds more than his opponent who is widely favored to win the bout, and this is coming despite ‘Money’s’ predictions that the UFC superstar would miss weight.
AFTER THE WEIGH-IN...
As usual and as expected, the fighters didn't walk away just then. There was some entertainment and taunting. Mayweather was silent though, but it was McGregor who stole the show as he yelled and laughed in his face: “You ain’t got sh*t on me!”
While speaking with reporters, McGregor said,
“He looks like dogsh*t, blown out, full of water, that’s the worst shape I’ve ever seen him in. I am entering the ring bigger than him, about 170 [pounds].”
“I see a man afraid. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
MAYWEATHER'S REACTION..
Mayweather who was silent throughout McGregor's verbal onslaught said he was unbothered and was going to to win the fight. The Money King is so sure of himself, and then he dropped the Quote of the day.
“Weight doesn’t win fights. Fighting wins fight,” Mayweather said, again predicting a KO win. “It won’t go the distance. Mark my words.”
Mayweather, says after winning this bout, he will be heading back to retirement, and declared: “This will be Conor’s last fight also.”
So, Mayweather and McGregor are upon us. Who wins boxing's biggest and most expensive bout in history?
