Sick of fans of the series completed four years ago throwing pizzas at their roofs or stealing stones as a souvenir, the owners have decided to build a perimeter fence.
Four years have passed since the release of the final chapter of Breaking Bad on September 29,2013. Since then, thousands of followers have been going on pilgrimage to the former Walter White's home in Albuquerque as a tribute. While some take selfies, others throw pizzas on the roof or steal property stones as a souvenir.
Remember the famous scene in which Walter (Bryan Cranston) throws a pizza that falls on the roof of the house after trying to reconcile with his wife Skylar (Anna Gunn), who won't let him into the house. This has become the drop that spilled the glass for the owners, as it has inspired hundreds to do the same.
Tired of these vandalistic acts, the owners of the house have decided to build a 1.8-meter perimeter wall to avoid disrespectful fans. "We feel like we can't leave because when we do, something happens, and that's ridiculous,"said Joanne Quintana, daughter of the owner of the residence, in an interview with the local media KOB 4.
Frank Sandoval, who runs a local Breaking Bad tour company, also told KOB 4 that he has even had to climb on the roof to remove the pizzas thrown by tourists. Vince Gilligan, the creator of the series, spoke in 2015, scolding jokers through a podcast about his behavior when visiting the house:
“There's nothing original, nothing fun, nothing cool about throwing a pizza on this lady's roof.
