A bridal shower is a gift-giving party held for a bride-to-be in anticipation of her wedding. The history of the custom is rooted not necessarily for the provision of goods for the upcoming matrimonial home, but to provide goods and financial assistance to ensure the wedding may take place.
PART I
One night after work, my little sister asked me to accompany her to get a shoe her hubby purchased online in whicht the seller is from Lapu-Lapu. We also picked up her friend along the way who needed a ride going to Lapu-Lapu. So when we got there I was shocked because the place we were going was owned by a friend of mine. We went to the penthouse level because that was where the "seller" was staying. When we arrived at the penthouse level, a large door was on the left side and I can see through the glass window that there where balloons and lights so I said to Pearl (the lil sis) that we should ask the other rooms on the right side because there was some sort of party on the left side of the floor.
But Pearl insisted on opening the large door because the "seller" said that we could just get in the penthouse to get the shoes. Now, this was some psycho shit scenario! like who in their right mind would say to their buyers to "yeah just help yourself in, the shoes is just inside the house", like WTF!. And my smart little sister was going to just follow the "seller's" instruction, just like that. So I tried to get her and when she was able to successfully open the door a bunch of people shouted "SURPRISE"! HAHAHAHAHA gedemet! There inside the room where my friends, I totally forgot about my "Bridal Shower". A big bravo to everyone because I did not have any clues to the BRIDAL SHOWER MISSION. Thank God I changed from my pajamas and wore a brassier, LOL.
laughing the whole night!, I seriously didn't expect that I would still have my bridal shower when the wedding day was near. I was too busy and going paranoid with all the planning that I totally forgot about bridal showers.
celebrate my last few days as a single (in my citizenship, lol) woman at their great penthouse. And a big thank you to my MOH Jenny for planning it out with the girls (Crispy Lee, Bea, Janine, Regine, Yuko, Clara, my BM Fojee, Tracy) and my sisters (my BM Pearl, ate Theresa, ate Mia and ate Che) who were there to celebrate with me. Insert ate Theresa on the photos, ahihi.
The cakes and cupcakes were awesome. The sweetness was just right for a chocolate cake. The fondant was good as well. We had some chicken from McDonalds and pizza from SnR. And some good booze as you can see in the photos.
They even hired a stripper who actually was just dancing awfully because of the no contact policy. All our glasses were labeled with our names. We had some silly R-Rated games and enjoyed wearing masks while twerking to some oldies music, LOL. It was an unforgettable night.
PART II
The next day was meeting up with my forever friends (high school barkada) because some of them can't go to my wedding. So we planned a catch-up because we have not seen each other for like a year and a half (I think). So I am just truly happy I was able to see them for the longest time.
And again I did not expect that they would surprise me as well. This was a more conservative-ish since we moved on from the stripper we had done before with one of the member. I would like to thank the tita's of Cebu Trinette, Tiffany, Cristina and Angelaine who really took time to be there and celebrated with me.
It was an awesome night and can't wait to bond again with these girls. I am super thankful to have been friends with all these girls who took time out of their busy schedule and celebrated with me. Love you all.
XOXO
