UK Labour Party: Let's tweet out an inappropriate Jewish holiday greeting.
Rashida Tlaib: Hold my Taybeh.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: Hold my space laser Budweiser.
Brighton and Hove Green Party: Hold our soy milk.
To break this down for you: not only have they included the Chanukiah (Chanukah candelabrum) - which has nothing to do with Yom Kippur - but Yom Kippur is the most solemn day in the Jewish calendar. Wishing someone a Happy Yom Kippur is kind of like wishing relatives of a deceased person a happy funeral.
They have also used the Gregorian year, rather than the Jewish year 5784.
In short: those with a history of not really liking Jews or the Jewish state should - to paraphrase Will Smith - keep our Jewish holy days out of their (expletive) mouths."
Update: They have apologized for the Chanukiah. Who wants to tell them about the "Happy" Yom Kippur?
