Police in Banbury in Oxfordshire are searching for a woman who visited The Range store in that town, defecated on a shelf and then calmly walked away and out of the shop.
Two questions here. The first is ‘why’? Why would someone go into a shop and poo on one of the shelves in broad daylight? Was she mentally ill or did she have some sort of grudge against the store and those running it? The second question is how did she managed to curl off a poo onto a shelf in a shop that was probably full of customers, staff and extensive CCTV without being caught in the act? I know from shopping at branches of The Range myself that there’s always staff wandering around restocking shelves or doing other work and there’s CCTV even in the outside garden centre bit of the shop. How did they miss the phantom turd dropper of Banbury? Did she time the poo on the shelf action when a lot of the staff were on their breaks or something?
