Today I had the opportunity to speak to over 300 youth corps members in the Rivers state camp about Steemit.

The NYSC is a scheme by the Nigerian government to combat unemployment but it has failed to achieve this.

Nigeria’s struggle to create jobs is getting worse.
New data published by Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) pegs the unemployment rate at 14.2% in the last quarter of 2016, up from 13.9% in the preceding quarter. It’s the ninth consecutive quarter that the unemployment rate in Nigeria has increased.

I told them the importance of steemit to financial freedom and reducing unemployment level especially in Nigeria.

I gave them an introduction to Steemit. How to open an account, Write an introductory post, upvote, resteem.

Drastic measures has to be taken to reduce the unemployment level to the bearest minimum especially amongst the youth.

After the session, over 30 accounts were opened and are awaiting approval

This massive response has given birth to a project I have tagged #SteemVangelism

My goal is to use #SteemVangelism to preach the gospel of Steemit to the youths in Nigeria and drastically reduce unemployment and social vices
