Greetings, editing comments seems to have glitch.
I posted this comment with the charity account:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@oleg326756/feed-your-minnows-series-episode-2-giving-back-100-sbd-post-payout-to-my-followers#@adra/re-oleg326756-feed-your-minnows-series-episode-2-giving-back-100-sbd-post-payout-to-my-followers-20170710t111507119z
Then realized I made a mistake and edited the text. After submitting the changes, the metadata of the changes got displayed, but not the updated comments’ text with its changes. See screenshot.
Finally I edited a second time and re-wrote the text from scratch. I checked the comments’ data on steemdb, but it was not available yet. Will check later again. It’s weird, that the entire original text disappeared and was replaced with what should have been written into the changes log but not into the frontend text that gets displayed.
I saw similar posts with the tag #bug where someone moans, that an entire comment vanished completely. https://steemit.com/steemit/@geordieprepper/comments-on-posts-are-disappearing
Does that mean the network is overloaded and therefore hickups occur?
- Does STEEM need more witness servers?
- Can it be, that the current hand full of witnesses are not enough to meet the increasing demand of server power to handle all the transactions and page requests of users?
- Would the site load faster when more witnesses bring more servers online?
Especially the last question is interesting, because I notice at time, that Steemit is not necessariyl a cheetah when it comes to loading-speed of blogs, comments, or pictures. Sometimes pictures are missing entirely and one has to refresh the page. Also yesterday I had to log-in 3 times into Steemit, as I was thrown out of the account. Never happened before.
If the cause of all those hickups is network overload, then the solution is simple : )
for witness, haha ; )
