I had been so occupied with my life, trying out polymer clay that when I decided to make things in air dry clay, things were not as I expected it to be.
For starters. I did not expect that when I mush things up, its kinda challenging to repair them compared when I am working with polymer clay- cause they dry up easily!
Then, there's the part that I tried making air dry clay canes- which would have been very innovative apart from it does not work.
Anyhow, here is how I made this fairy house- why this- I also don't know!
I started with a pear shaped clay.
The "roof detail" was made from this.
I cut it to add a bit more detail, folded it up half way.
Then I attached it to the main part.
I added some details by getting a round clay, attaching it to the main part and then, using any tool to create some detail to make the door.
Here is the second version.
Window looked like this. Yeah I tried to detach it but, it ruined the main part so, I just decided to leave it as it is.
Done.
So the moral lesson of the day is that, do not expect two things to work out the same way just cause they are both- clay- sculpting clay. I found this out the hard way today.
While I might be concentrating more on my polymer clay skills these days, I would probably still be doing this.
I know its hard when you've got a lot going on in this world but, that's adulting I guess. I have bills to pay, I have things to do so, I need to make sure I have a way to support me.
