INTRODUCTION :
My name is Pratham Bathla and I along with my teammates were working on a project named Blood Bond encouraging the college Student community towards blood donation.
My team The Debugging Dead consists of 4 amazing people proficient in their field of work Harsh Madhur, Adil Sheikh, Aviral Shukla, and me. We all are currently pursuing a Bachelor Of Technology from J.S.S Academy of Technical Education.

In the current scenario, Everyday 12,000 people die due to lack of blood . India collects 11 million units of blood but needs 15 million units, so there's a deficit of 4 million units. Over 40 districts in India don't have a single blood bank.
Blood Bond aims to help blood banks as well as college students to form a link between them. Our project works on "Donate for the future". Here are some key features of our application.
- The future security of the donor and donor's family: As a donor (student) donates his/her blood in the blood bank he/she will get a credit point, which can be used in the future or whenever his family or wants blood in an emergency, at that time those points can be redeemed.
- Healthy Blood to Blood Banks: We are aiming at the student community as they are above 21 years of age have a healthy body and physique and have a better blood recovery rate.
- Emergency Donations: Whenever a patient needs any type of blood group in an emergency, then a notification with the contact info of active donors will be released to all the donors, and if anyone is near the specified location, he/she can help that individual.
- Donor Events: Donor events will be conducted to show them how valuable their contributions were to saving a number of lives and encourage them for more blood donation in future.
- Perks to students: we will offer them Free Health Checkups, discount on the educational courses and some free gift vouchers by collaborating with educational firms.
- Access near by blood bank: In case of emergency , the person can get location of blood bank and required blood availability by entering his current location.
How Will We Implement This ?
We will Implement the solution in the following steps:
- Making direct connections with Blood Banks and partnering with them
- We connect students through college societies by organizing events , WhatsApp community and social media.
- We are partnering with educational institutions to provide perks like discounted educational courses .
Perks for the Donors:
The main motive for providing perks is to encourage donations and spread awareness
- 1-month Health Insurance: Donors will be provided one month of life insurance for blood deficiency-related diseases.
- Diagnosis reports: Diagnosis reports will be available on the user's portal and updated(previous one) after the blood is donated and diagnosed.
- Certifications and Badges: To encourage donors and to spread awareness we will provide them with badges and certifications
- Discounts on educational content: Donor students will get additional discounts on educational content.
- Free health checkups: Free health check-up camps will be provided to all the donors after a certain period.
Impact on Society:
As the theme name suggests Health and Fitness, will create a great impact on :
- Saving Lives.
- Community Health.
- Health Awareness.
Apart from Health benefits, It has other benefits too like:
- Volunteerism.
- Awareness.
- Community Trust.
