My main dating advice I’ve passed down is work on yourself so you become someone good women are attracted to.
I spent my early 20s as a complete grease monkey in the driveway under my car any day off I had, and my nights were spent getting trashed in dive bars. I maybe had one set of clothes without stains. Didn’t keep up with haircuts, wore clothes with holes, same grease-covered hat everywhere. Rented a single bedroom I didn’t keep clean and rotated between 3 cars driving whichever half-destroyed one happened to be running.
Didn’t attract many quality women in those days.
I’m still basically the same. Wrenching whenever I get the chance. Will still crush (admittedly fewer) beers, still have plenty of oil-stained clothes. Kept 1 of the 3 piece of shit cars and turned it into something women will actually ride in, bought a reliable one, and a house to keep it all at. I just deep clean myself and scrub the dirt out from under my fingernails before I go out, have certain clothes I won’t work in, get regular haircuts, and moisturize.
I only got deeper into my hobbies and the quality of women willing to give me the time of day now has gone up a lot.
