Add a wiener dog to this vacation rental for just $5 per day
You can create your own dog days of summer this year with a vacation at the Hotdog Hideaway.
The rental cabin in southwest Michigan allows visitors to bring their own pups, but they'll also lend a hand to the dog lover who is sans canine. For the small fee of $5 per day, you can rent a wiener dog with which to spend your vacation.

Short-term vacation rental proposals panned
Councilman Chris Cate’s op-ed (“Time for council decision, clarity,” Aug. 20) concerning short-term vacation rentals is disingenuous at best.
Everyone knows about the short-handed San Diego police department and can see that his reliance on enforcement to solve problems like STVRs is unrealistic. Plus, the damage is done when citizens are wakened by unruly visitors.
Living next to these mini-hotels is ruining the lives of many San Diego families. He falsely claims that STVR opponents are calling for an “outright ban.” In fact the existing municipal code already prohibits all STVRs as recently stated by City Attorney Mara Elliot.
The proposal by Councilwoman Bry amends the code to allow home sharing and renting a primary residence while the owners are away on travel, it is not a ban. It is time for Councilman Cate to stand up for San Diego neighborhoods and support the proposal put forward by Councilwoman Bry.
