A lo largo de los años he tenido la oportunidad de asistir a diversas conferencias y cursos sobre marketing, negocios y finanzas. Y aunque en muchos de ellos se abordan temas que ya conozco, que manejo y en los que tengo experiencia, lo que realmente disfruto es escuchar a diferentes personas compartir sus propias perspectivas y experiencias sobre esos mismos temas.
Cada ponente aporta algo distinto, y esa diversidad de pensamiento me resulta muy enriquecedora. Valoro mucho la oportunidad de conocer nuevos colegas, reencontrarme con caras conocidas y, sin falta, salir de cada evento con un nuevo aprendizaje, por pequeño que sea.
Cuando asisto a estas actividades, trato de mirar más allá del contenido técnico. Me interesa aprender de los propios ponentes: sus trayectorias, sus puntos de vista y su manera de abordar los desafíos. Y si voy acompañada de colegas, la experiencia es aún más especial.
Hoy en día, con el poco tiempo libre que solemos tener, suelo priorizar cursos y conferencias en los que pueda adquirir conocimientos totalmente nuevos. Aun así, me gusta asistir al menos a un par de eventos presenciales al año sobre temas que ya manejo, como una forma de actualizarme, socializar y empatizar con personas que tienen miradas diferentes.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to attend various conferences and courses on marketing, business, and finance. And while many of the topics discussed are familiar to me—concepts I’ve already worked with and mastered—what I truly enjoy is hearing different people share their own unique perspectives and experiences on the same subjects.
Each speaker brings something new to the table, and that diversity of thought is incredibly enriching. I value the chance to meet new peers, reconnect with familiar faces, and, without fail, walk away having learned something—no matter how small.
When I attend these events, I try to look beyond the technical content. I focus on the speakers themselves—their journeys, insights, and ways of thinking. And when I get to share that experience with colleagues, it becomes even more special.
Given how limited our free time can be these days, I now prioritize courses and events that offer completely new knowledge. Still, I make it a point to attend at least two in-person events each year on familiar topics—not just to stay updated, but also to connect, socialize, and engage with people who see the world through a different lens.
