I was asking a friend the other day where they thought Direct TV stands now that YouTube offers live TV and not to mention the views they are losing from Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. I feel as a society we have moved away from traditional television and have now entered into an advanced internet/TV realm. In my opinion Direct TV will go out just like blockbuster did not sure how long they have but if they don't make any major changes in their platform soon they will be facing impending doom.
