Over the years I’ve Tried a number of things, “legit things” to generate income online. What I have found most is that there are any number of people and organisations willing to take your money to “Teach you how to make money online”.
Honestly, if they were all making the dollars they claim they wouldn’t be teaching they would be doing.
So what is the rule of thumb.
- It’s no more likely to have a successful business online than with a bricks and mortar business.
- It takes a lot of hard work, let me say that again “HARD WORK” and still no guarantee of success. Anyone who tells you differently, is after your money, beware.
- You will still need the underlying business structures required in your country of residence, especially the TAX man.
- There is no substitute for good old fashioned “Due Diligence”. Study your Product, Service or training and know it better than your competitors.
- Elon Musk doesn’t have a business plan, doesn’t mean YOU shouldn’t have one, especially if your starting out. I’m sure you are awesome and all, but Elon might be a one of a kind, business Genius. Who by the way has constantly said “I believed it would fail, probably only a 10% chance of success”.
- Please do something you are comfortable with, put in the dollars you are willing and able to lose without, losing the shirt off your back.
Let me finish here, I’m not saying online businesses are doomed to fail, I’m just saying, know what you are getting into, be kind to yourself. You’ll get some things right and somethings wrong. You will learn some great lessons at some personal cost.
