Probably most of you own iphones and other apple products and you're not in the category of frustrated users who just want to return their smartphone and never bite the apple again. I'm not either in this category but not because of the same reason. Simply apple never convinced me to spend my money on their smartphones.
I was very close with the iphone 6, but its main flaws(that are flaws of all the iphones) kept me away from ios and iphones, so I stick with Samsung and android. The flaws were: very poor battery life, too expensive for what it had to offer and too damn complicated with icloud and itunes and all their restrictive services. The post it's not about ios vs android or apple vs Samsung, it is just about iphone and just about the X model that actually pronounces ten.
It's not the only iphone having problems lately as the media tells us. The iphone 8 had also some microphone issues after an update, but that's the cheaper one so you might have expected. If you consider its price cheap. I don't because with that money you can buy a Galaxy S9 or other flagship that does better, looks better and lasts better than the 8th model from iphone.
Coming back to the subject of the post which is the iphone X, it seems that lately some units are facing facial recognition issues that apple addressed about to its Authorized Service Providers. Not only that their face ID is damn slow and it can be tricked as you can see proofs on Youtube, but it's now having problems. It seems that these problems are somehow connected with the rear camera, but no details are yet being revealed or any statement from apple regarding whether the units affected by the problem will be replaced.
What made me say the face ID from the iphone X is slow is the fact that you have to turn on your display, look at the camera and then swipe up to unlock the phone. Too many swipes and pushes for a thousand dollars device. If you want though the faster version of the face ID look no further than the OnePlus 5T. Yes there's a better alternative to the iphone X if face ID and a cheaper one also.
The 5T model from OnePlus has the option of unlocking your phone using the front camera the same as iphone does, but much faster by only a push of a button. You can convince yourself about the speed of it with this video containing the opinions of some of the best tech reviewers on Youtube. I don't want to look like and android fan boy, but the OnePlus kicks the iphone X's ass in many ways other then face ID at a cheaper price.
For less than $600 you get a 6" screen full HD display, insanely fast face ID unlocking option, dash charge that definitely will charge the phones battery faster than the X does and yeah...a more customizable operation system than what apple has to offer. Sadly you also get some of the iphone's design features as OnePlus lacks a bit in originality in this department, but the value for the money with the Chinese smartphone is definitely a great buy.
If you are not yet convinced that you paid too much for the X and that it is a better alternative to it wait until the face ID issues hit your device also...
