Doping is represented by the athlete's use of prohibited substances to advance their training and optimize their sporting results. Among those substances that athletes tend to ingest are stimulants, hormones, diuretics, narcotics and marijuana, in addition to steroids, which is what we usually hear about in the field of antidoping, the use of impeded methods such as blood transfusions or genetic doping. even refusing to take the anti-doping test is considered illicit.
Athletes and their coaches know that these substances are prohibited but some assume the risk of ingesting them many times to raise large sums of money for the prizes awarded in the competitions or also to achieve the fame that generates recognition in sports disciplines. The disadvantage of this is that they run the risk of losing their sports careers if they are discovered or these substances over time affect the health of these athletes.
Doping helps athletes to generate strength and muscle, reduces fatigue and counteracts pain, some side effects of these methods is to retract the testicles, produce baldness, heart problems, impotence, liver and kidney problems, among other anomalies.
By using doping, fair play is ended and incurs in cheating in sports competition, the value of honesty is lost in these men and women who practice it. That is why the campaigns between coaches and athletes should be strengthened to eradicate this malignant practice in sport,
This type of attitude of some athletes is detrimental to their image in front of millions of fans including children who see in them an image to follow, are their sports heroes and set a bad example to those youth who want to get those laurels that have reached to achieve high performance athletes.
The World Anti-Doping Agency is the body that ensures compliance with the standards and annually draws up a list of prohibited substances, among which we find:
1.- Stimulants
2.- Steroids
3.- Hormones
4.- Diuretics
5.- Narcotics
6.- Cannabinoids
