Beersaturday or Beersunday...
Damn okay I am always a bit behind. So this was a new beer to try for me today.
I love citrus in my beer. I am a big fan of blue moon. It is usually served with an orange which I think enhances the unique flavor.
Blue moon was originally called "bellyslide wit" and was created at Sandlot brewing company here in Denver Colorado at Coors field. It has been around I think for about 25 yrs. Almost as long as the Rockies. It is a Belgian wheat pale ale. It is actually brewed still today with orange peels.
So today I tried a new one I hadn't seen before.
This is a blue moon mixed with coffee. I love coffee, but in my beer?????
Now I love iced coffee usually with harder liquor in it, but this was pretty good. I wouldn't want to knock em back one after another but really pretty good. There is really just a hint of coffee, it isn't overpowering. If you have tried it, did you like it?
Today is the set your clocks back so it gets dark earlier. I do not like that because ethe sunset is at like 5pm tonight. That is hard to take in, however the sunset did not disappoint. A beautiful evening here in Denver Colorado.
