The psalmist exhort the Lord always and give Him praises for saving his soul. There cannot be any boast other than the thorn made crown for us, for our glory and good, for our blessings and upliftment was He (Christ) cursed for our sake.
The song said, when I survey the wonderous work of God, his glory, his plan of salvation, his love for mankind, his genuine passion for souls, when I survey the love of Jesus. I can't but say He has done so well for me.
The song realign every believer to the work of grace, it made us to know that our glory lies in God and God alone.
