Andela is a company that has been making giant strides in africa for the past 5 years.
In 2014 they received a seed funding from the zuckerberg foundation and ever since then they have been growing nicely and highly.
The premise of the company is quite simple, they train developers and then once they have trained these developers, they then outsource these talents to work for companies over in the united states or where ever there is a technology hub.
It's quite an ingenious plan really, because these talents not only have access to bigger job opportunities, but also they get to expand and grow their skills while earning something for themselves in the company.
It's amazing to watch things like this growing africa, even though it is not fully based in africa.
If blockchain technology, especially the steem blockchain can have some developers that are trained here and are working on blockchain technology full time and we are able to build something out of that, then steem can have a physical product that people can utilise, can use and say "ok we are from steem and steem is training us to become developers and at the same time were able to improve the blockchain and improve ourselves by creating applications for the steem blockchain, securing the network, and much more.
It is of my opinion that if steem can train developers, if steem can create an initiative that is focused on bringing up developers, writers, community personnels and help them grow while paying them steem, then these people can be retained to build the blockchain into greater heights.
