Post -it tasks
It was always a disaster for me to take notes.
The picture below can give you an idea how I take notes in the meeting. (yes...meetings are boring)
Moreover, let me show you my book back in university...
See how I tortured "Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer" book. ( i can say that it is a revenge infact...I doubled this course...)
Going back in time, if I was able to find my primary school books i am sure that i will find same kind of talented! art in them.
Anyway, it was OK in school but when you grow up, get in a position of leading a team, this tends to be a block in your career.
You take notes, but they are lost in the black hole. Internally you know that you will never find them so you quit taking notes but increase the art instead.
I have always envied the people who can review and update their task lists in the morning or before leaving work.
But I am an engineer and invention is my job...
So I invented a method...drawings and tasks can stay together without mixing.
How ?
Yes...genius...sticky post-it on the notebook!
- Take a bunch of small sticky notes and write your to-do list on them.
- Stick it to your notebook.
- Close the task when it is "DONE"
Then it is easy to organize the open tasks according to their priorities, due dates or responsible person by just unsticking and sticking.
You can move the finished tasks to another page to review them later.
Most importantly, if you are like me you can stick them on your art! and this way both your art and your tasks are preserved.
Infact, what I really recommend is, take this post as an inspiration and invent your own task follow up method.
Nobody can know you better than you do.
Stay positive.
