Club Brugge vs Eupen
The defending champion against one of the big favorites to relegate! Brugge already won the supercup this season and until now did manage to keep the most important players of previous season on board!
Maybe some will leave the club in August but they are ready for the start of the competition. Both models do predict an easy victory for Club Brugge!
And I will follow this prediction! I will use the Asian Handicap Club Brugge -2 here, good for odds of 2.162!
Charleroi vs Antwerp
Charleroi was until the mid of the season last year the only contender of Champion Club Brugge but failed miserably after the winter break and did end only on the 6th place!
Just like the previous years, they hope to qualify for playoff 1! Antwerp on the other side did surprise Belgium with their maiden year in the Pro League! They even did had a small change on qualifying for Playoff 1!
Here we have 2 clashes of playing style. The playing style of Charleroi could be best compared with the old fashioned Catenaccio, while Antwerp does more having a power playing style. Lots of physical players full of motivation!
Too early in the season for me to have a clear idea about both teams, that why I will stay away from this game! No bet!

Lokeren vs Genk
I do have to start this with a warning. Genk is my favorite team in Belgium, so it is not always that easy to stay neutral! I will try to do this as much as possible!
Genk already did play a qualification game from the European League. After 30 minutes of playing they were already 4-0 ahead. Still this game will have cost some power, for sure with the weather here in Belgium!
Lokeren on the other side isn’t prepared for this season (yet). Even the coach is screaming in the press for some new players! Maybe it is to motivate the current players but they just lack the qualities to take a point against Genk!
My money will be on Genk! They had an excellent season preparation and they were already done early in the pre-season with all transfers! I will go for Genk – 0.5 (2.013), which has some better odds than the money line win for Genk (2.008).
