1 Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
Our bodies need constant activities to stay fit. Likewise is our spirit man. It's expedient to channel more of our energy to the spirit man because our godliness, which is more profitable to us, is housed by him. Brethren, everything we see or do with our physical bodies shall come to an end, but the seed we sow into our spirit is eternally relevant. God's word and a holy lifestyle are the enduring seeds that will give us eternal benefit. How is your investment in eternity?
The devil is out to distract many so as to take their mind away from the main deal. The main deal is Christ and eternal life. Everything else shall vanish someday, but our relationship with Christ remains forever. Seek the treasures of eternity, refuse to be distracted. Arise and lay hold on eternal life. Hold on to righteousness, for nothing is worth missing eternity with Christ.
