This bird is very interesting. Usually, she "brings the children" and everyone believes this - someone is waiting for the arrival of storks, and someone is driving these birds from their garden.
With storks, many myths and legends are connected, since this bird not only brings happiness, but sometimes sorrow.
They say that if you steal a nestling from the storks, the parents-storks will take revenge on the offender.
Today I will tell you about one pair that nests in an abandoned village on a pole.
I call this couple a large family, as they have 3-4 chicks each year, which is a rare phenomenon for storks. But that is, that is - they are wonderful parents and I watch them every year.
In our area there are many aistinnyh nests, but while they are still in no hurry to sit on the eggs, just live on the fields.
But our couple has already started their parental responsibilities.
The female is sitting in the nest on eggs, and the male is important to guard his house and clean his feathers.
This from a distance the storks seem white and beautiful. But if you look at them closely, they are very dirty.
I always ask myself the same question - where do they manage to get so smeared?
A few months will pass, the chicks will appear and the head of the family will no longer have a place in the nest.
At such a time, storks-males gather in flocks and work hard to catch for their still non-flying chicks.
That's the picture I always watch when I'm driving home from work (taken out of the car).
