Xingcheng ancient city was one of the four Ming dynasty cities which were best preserved now,It is the only square protection city in our country.The photo below was the ancient gate tower of the city of xingcheng.It has four gates
around the wall.The city wall was almost 3274 meters along.
兴城古城是我国目前保存最完整的四座明代古城之一，是我国唯一的一座方形卫城。这是兴城古城楼，城墙总计3274多米，四周设有东南西北四个城门。
In the center of the city, there was a bell tower, with a half-circle of Weng city outside the city,There are batterys which were distribution in the four corners of the wall, and it has always been a battleground for the military.
城中心设有钟鼓楼，城外筑有半圆形的瓮城，城墙四角仍有炮台，这里历来是兵家争夺之要地。
明代天启年间，袁崇焕以不足2万兵力击败努尔哈赤史称：宁远大捷。

如今500多年过去了，古城在数年来的风雨中默默的矗立着，无声的注视着辽西这片热土，目睹多年来的风云变幻，就像一位饱经风霜的老人一样。
Now more than 500 years have passed, the ancient city silently stood in the years of wind and rain, watching the western earth of liaoning witness the changing over the years, like a weather-beaten old man.
如今这座古城在当地政府的精心维护下，古城上安装的各种小夜灯，使这座古城重新散发出 一种青春活力，以新的面貌展示在人们面前。古城两边商铺林立，经销各种货物，白天呈现出一派繁荣的景象。
夜深了，街上的行人渐渐稀少，古城越发的宁静了，它在沉默着，思考着。。。。。星星还是那颗星星，城还是那座城，而人却不是那时候的人了。。。。
The night was in deep , the people on the streets gradually scarce, the city was more and more quiet , It was silent, thinking... The stars were still the stars, the city was still the city, and the people were not the people for that time...
