Dear Minnow,
Alot of times here people will be like "Don't put money first. People are your investments. The community first. Bring value etc". While all those points are true, the converse is not false. Do you know that some people on this platform are actually here to get the $$$. That's what they care about. In my opinion, they are 25% the ones who make this platform stable. Discard them and the rest of us will be without motivation less 1% who will actually do this even if it ain't paying.
This community is awesome...but lets think of things from another dimension.
The devs of steemit are some of the wisest set of people I HAVE SEEN IN A WHILE. The wisest thing they ever did on this platform was making it for both content creators and investors (or both). What do I mean by this? The investors in this case are the content curators. Just imagine for a minute that there was no incentive for curating. The chances that people will actually vote for others would have been lower. But now you gotta do it not just because you like that stuff but also because you are gonna earn something amazing when all is done.
Now to the question: how do you make money from steemit? There are a multitude of ways to kill a rat. Some of the methods are quite open while some are only for the initiated. I'll start with the more obvious methods.
FROM A WRITERS' PERSPECTIVE:
- A. POST GOOD OUT-OF-THE-BOX CONTENT
People like to see uniquely refreshing stuff. There's nothing like "trending topic" here that you must 'chuck mouth'. The curators will find you if your stuff are good - B. GROW YOUR FOLLOWERS
This is a very important way to accelerate earnings - C. MAKE IMPORTANT CONNECTIONS
Yeah! It goes without saying - D. USE THE RIGHT TAGS
This is a simple trick but it always works. Once you know the tags to use, you will be getting upped constantly. - E. FIND A NICHE
Give people the opportunity to know you for something special and unique. - F. PARTICIPATE IN CONTESTS
So many people ignore the power of contests. You can gain financial rewards as well as exposure just for winning a cool contest.
FROM AN INVESTOR'S PERSPECTIVE:
- A. LOOK OUT FOR GOOD CONTENTS & UPVOTE
You should be more like a talent hunter. Find those that are most likely to succeed and invest in them - B. INVEST IN OTHER PEOPLE WITH IDEAS BY
i. Delegating steem power
ii. Joining a voting trail - C. BOOST YOUR STEEM POWER TO THE MOON
If you are still using just the steem power that Steemit delegated to you, then you are getting it all wrong. As an investor, you have to invest. Minimum 1000 steem power.
FROM BOTH PERSPECTIVES
- A. MONITOR THE WHALES AND COMMENT ON THEIR POSTS
Take care to comment on active whales who usually reply posts. They will upvote you if you leave an impressive comment. With your high steem power as an investor you earn mega curation rewards too. - B. MAKE SOME BUSINESS CONNECTIONS
Your ability to connect with like-minded individuals is invaluable - C. SUPPORT GROWING TALENT
They are always the future
For me, the best place to be on this scheme of things is to be both a creator and an investor. That way you eat both parts of the cake...both the icing and the actual cake! Apply everything on this list and you will be a god-whale in a few months.
This is a summary guide for easier assimilation. Most of these points would be expanciated with time. So stay tuned!
I hope this was super helpful for you!
