I agree with you, but I prefer a comparison. Bitcoin for the Crypto Space is as gold for Metal Space. An storage of value for long-term. And that is because for you to buy an Alt-coin first must be Bitcoin. Also this helps for the increasing value of Bitcoin as a currency that you have to have first then exchange it to something else.
