A certain verse of the Bible says that God regretted creating man when He saw that the intention of the heart of man was evil all the time.
In Sociology, it is believed that Man is naturally wicked/evil, and if not checked, can destroy himself and those around him. Hence, why an institution stronger and powerful than man needs to be created to checks man's activities.
The wickedness of man is no longer shocking to me. Personally, i consider everybody i meet to be very wicked an capable of perpetuating great evil UNTIL the person prove himself otherwise.
