前回の投稿では春の京都の路上の植物をアップさせていただきました。
１回の投稿では全てを紹介できませんでしたので、引き続きアップさせていただきます。
In the last post I uploaded plants on the street of Kyoto in the spring.
Since I could not introduce everything in one post, I will continue to update this time.
オトメツバキ（OTOME-TUBAKI）

京都ではツバキは多くの種が植えられていますが、このオトメツバキは直径 6~7cm の小ぶりの花が抜群に愛らしいです。
Many species of camellia are planted in Kyoto, but this otome camellia is pretty lovely small flowers with a diameter of 6 to 7 cm.
ハウチワモミジ（HAUCHIWA-MOMIJI）

花が種子に変化している最中です！プロペラの羽のような部分が種子です。
Flowers are changing to seeds! The part like propeller feathers is seeds.
スミレ（SUMIRE）

道端の日陰のいたるところで小さな可愛い花を咲かせています。
Small cute flowers are blooming throughout the shade of the roadside.

Mallotus Bark
Mallotus japonicus
料亭の庭先に植えられていたアカメガシワの新芽です。アカメガシワは樹皮が漢方薬として使用されるそうです。胃腸疾患に効果があるそう。
It is the sprout of Mallotus Bark which was planted in the garden of the restaurant. Mallotus Bark seems to use bark as herbal medicine.
It seems to be effective for gastrointestinal diseases.

ヤマツツジ（YAMA-TSUTSUJI）

京都市内では生垣などとして多く見かけます。3cm ほどの小さな花を咲かせています。
In Kyoto city I see as much as an hedge. Small flowers about 3 cm in size are blooming.
イチョウ（ICHOU）

イチョウの葉は樹皮からも芽吹きます。イチョウは比較的原始的な植物で生命力が強いです。電信柱用の木材として使われていたイチョウの木が、根を張り枝を出し葉をつけたという記録もあります。
Ginkgo leaves sprout from the bark. Ginkgo is a relatively primitive plant and its vitality is strong. There is also a record that the ginkgo tree used as the wood for the telegraph pillar is covered with roots, leaves branches and leaves attached.
ヤマブキ（YAMABUKI）

ヤマブキの中でもヤエヤマブキという種類です。これもナンテンと並んで京都の民家でとてもよく見かけます。
It is a type called “Yaeyamabuki” among Yamaboki. Alongside Heavenly bamboo this is also very common in the private house in Kyoto.
京都は路上にも民家の庭先にも他の県ではなかなか見ることのできない種類の植物が育っているという印象を受けています。

Kyoto is growing kind of subspecies plants which can not be easily seen in other prefectures both on the street and private garden. That is my finding.
