I feel I can write some more on what I've been doing recently. I like to follow my curiosity.
What I’ve found interesting these days is to watch some youtube videos about the afterlife, human soul and emotions. These subjects were of little interest for me until a few years ago.
After learning about the great advancements in science, I almost ignored the subjects for which I had not found scientific proof.
I am usually skeptical
I read Wikipedia or other trusted sources before believing something new to me.
This time when I heard an Australian man and woman claiming themselves to be Jesus and Mary Magdalene from the first century, I laughed :) . Yet I kept watching because I found their answers resonated with me. For example AJ defined fear (and emotions) as "energy stored and expressed by the soul". I do believe that emotion is energy.
Emotion - the energy of the soul
The dictionary is not very helpful by defining emotion as "disturbance" or "excitement". We need emotions to be alive and full of energy.
Emotion keeps us in motion.
The search for scientific proof of soul/spirit existence
AJ also has a nice theory on the physical body, spirit body and the eternal human soul. It sounds beautiful that we can live forever as spirits and souls but I want proof, so I don't waste my limited time I have here on earth, learning about things that I would never use. Their videos about spirits and mediumship take hours to watch and sometimes they make me feel bad.
One morning while waking up I got the idea on how to test if spirits in the afterlife really exist. There are a lot of people that do mediumship, claiming that they are talking to spirits. If we could find a couple of good mediums and a helpful scientist spirit on the other world, we could make an experiment where they transmit information from one medium to another through the spirit.
I searched the web for mediumship experiments and I found the research by Julie Beischel and Adam J. Rock, Australian PhD in Parapsychology. They statistically proved that some information can be obtained from the spirits through mediumship to help their living loved ones to overcome their loss. This research is not yet accepted by most of the scientific world. More evidence is needed and research funding is limited.
I searched the web for telepathy experiments and I found some by Rupert Sheldrake but those are not scientific enough either. A Filmed Experiment on Telephone Telepathy with the Nolan Sisters showed that the five sisters had some telepathy skills. One of them had to guess which of her 4 sisters was calling.
Rupert agreed that there was not enough evidence but he was 100% convinced their telepathy skill was real and could be demonstrated and improved upon.
I am still not 100% convinced. I'm now only about 50% sure that the souls and the spirits in the afterlife exist as described by AJ Miller and his soulmate Mary Luck, and by Julie Beischel and her psychic friends.
Who knows? Maybe there will be more evidence in the future to prove or disprove the afterlife theory. Or maybe scientists don't have to know about it so they keep working on their version of eternal life, here on Earth, by advancing medicine and technology to the point of extending life indefinitely.
( Steem on! :)
