I am a little drunk right now (a result of having so much champagne) but cannot go to bed. The best thing to do is right now to write a post about the hotel and after this I can go to bed.
A new hotel in Hong Kong is doing soft launching and I am fortunate to have been chosen (am a senior loyalty member of the hotel group) and am staying in a suite myself.
The hotel 'The Murray' #TheMurrayHK is under the group of Global Hotel Alliance (#GHA). The hotel is in the heart of Central where most financial businesses are in close proximity to the #TheMurrayHK (I am not in the financial business anyway).
The Global Hotel Alliance #GHA has different hotels coming together as an alliance; Kempinski is the most known and among one of them. I was informed by the #discoveryloyalty #discoverutc program last week that I am entitled to a free night stay and an evening cocktail party. Said no to this? Hell no!
The Murray was a government building back then, it was converted into a cultural heritage site as a hotel.
What makes a hotel stand out? Facilities are one thing but another thing is their people. From check in to room service, things have been personalised and staff here have been fantastic, top notch as those working at Mandarin Oriental and Ritz Carlton. Staff at #TheMurray did the extra mile. While the worst experience so far has been Sheraton.
Check-in was a breeze and done in the room with a dedicated manager explaining everything about the room and the hotel. I had a good conservation with the manager for about 20 minutes about hotel service quality. Out of my expectation, I am given a HKD 3,000 coupon for food and beverage services on site, good until the end of 2018.
The suite is spacious but it is a shame I am alone :-(.

I did a video interview with the hotel for about 5 minutes. I volunteered because I wanted to say thank you to #discoveryloyalty #discoverutc. Kempinski is well-known for their ladies in red. I was recognised by one of the ladies and she checked me in the room as usual, we talked a little bit the other week. A day later, she sent me a ballon, some sweets and a card to cheer me up. I brought along the card to #TheMurray to show my gratitude for that in the interview, during which I verbally thanked the lady and discussed service quality of hotel (I knew the interview beforehand and therefore had the card with me).
I didn't dress to killed but alright for an evening party (I needed that for long). I had a good time talking to different people.
Thanks #discoverutc #themurrayhk #globalhotelalliance #discoveryloyalty for the hospitality. Whenever you need a hotel stay, think #GHA and #DiscoveryLoyalty. On par with Mandarin Oriental and Ritz Carlton!
